Husband hacked wife into eight pieces after bludgeoning her with hammer so he could go on Thailand sex holiday

A German husband who killed his wife and sliced her body into eight pieces in order to go to Thailand on a sex holiday has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Horst Koenig, 53, became pale in the face after the district court in Augsburg, in the German state of Bavaria, found him guilty of having murdered his 37-year-old Filipino wife Grace.

Even though the German computer expert was sentenced to life imprisonment, he might be eligible for early release when he is 74 years old under German law.

Judge Christoph Wiesner said: "Such a motive is shocking for the court."

The court said the meticulously planned murder was executed with a hammer weighing almost 5lbs when Grace was asleep, and then involved the disposal of the corpse by cutting it into pieces.

They described it as "particularly callous."

The judge said that Koenig spent a whole month researching how to make the death of his wife as effective as possible and to make the dissected corpse disappear long enough in order to "give him enough time to spend happy hours in Thailand."

After her death, he had cleared the bank accounts of his wife who he married ten years ago in the Philippines.

Afterwards, he booked his flight to Thailand for a sex holiday and rented a locker in a warehouse to dispose of the body parts.

Five weeks later, when his money was spent on Thai prostitutes and his visa had expired, Horst Koenig returned to Germany where he was arrested.

The court said Koenig acted out of treachery and greed.

The judge said: "You can decide for yourself, whether you make true the words you spoke during the trial and accept the blame for which you have been charged."

The sisters of the victim reacted with relief at the verdict.

Their lawyer Mandana Mauss, 45, said: "They did not want revenge. They wanted justice for their sister. Now they can put the ordeal behind them."

Geng merah ganggu dan mengacau wanita2 bersih5

Several reporters and Bersih supporters who were trying to buy breakfast at the stalls nearby were harassed if they got too close to the group. Many decided to buy their food elsewhere.

Women were singled out. Even those dressed for work were whistled at and given catcalls.

The Red Shirts had earlier said they were there to protest Bersih, which is rallying for free and fair elections.

The group’s leader, Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos, was arrested earlier Saturday for a fracas at Ampang Point in Kuala Lumpur last month, which saw a female journalist from The Star Online being harassed and manhandled.

“He is heading to Kuala Lumpur now,” said Sufi.

Dr Mahathir appeared in a video on Wednesday urging Malaysians to participate in the rally.

Clad in a Bersih t-shirt, Dr Mahathir said Malaysians need to show their dissatisfaction with the government through participation in Bersih at Dataran Merdeka and other places.



“I hope all Malaysians will participate in the demonstrations by Bersih,” he said in the two-minute video.

In 2015, Dr Mahathir attended Bersih 4.0 with his wife.

On Sunday, Dr Mahathir was seen wearing a ‘free Anwar’ badge at the Pakatan Harapan convention in Shah Alam.

However, Dr Mahathir banned protests and assemblies during his 22 years as prime minister.

Photo raises fears of troublemakers within Bersih 5 


















PETALING JAYA: A photo of Jamal Yunos with three youths wearing Bersih 5 t-shirts has given rise to fears that the Red Shirts movement will plant some of its supporters among the yellow shirts in the protest rally planned for this Saturday.

The photo is said to have gone viral on social media, raising questions as to Jamal’s motive for the pose, theSun reported yesterday.

Weighing in on the issue, Bersih 2.0 chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah suggested that it could likely be a sign of potential trouble from within Bersih 5, with such agent provocateurs among the tens of thousands expected at the rally.

However, such accusations were dismissed by Jamal, who is also Sungai Besar Umno division chief.

He told the daily that he happened to meet the three youths, whom he said were teenagers, at the Kampung Melayu Ampang, in Ampang Jaya, on Sunday.

“I met them on Sunday during Zohor prayers. I consider the youngsters like my own brothers.



“I advised them and they were redeemed by god and have repented for joining Bersih,” he was quoted as saying, adding that the three men had changed their mind about joining Bersih 5.

Jamal has previously promised to lead thousands of Red Shirts supporters to Dataran Merdeka on Saturday as a counter-rally to the Bersih 5 gathering.

His supporters have also been harrassing and intimidating Bersih 5 participants across the country during the latter’s nationwide convoy since the beginning of last month.

Hina Sultan Johor: 3 NGO buat laporan polis

KUALA LUMPUR: Tiga badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) membuat 3 laporan polis terhadap Satees Muniandy, setiausaha peribadi Timbalan Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang Dr P.Ramasamy, yang didakwa menghina Sultan Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar di Facebook.

NGO berkenaan ialah Pertubuhan Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah (MJMM), Ikatan Usahawan Kecil dan Sederhana Malaysia (Ikhlas) dan Ikatan Rakyat Insan Muslim Malaysia (IRIMM).

Presiden MJMM Abdul Rani Kulup Abdullah yang mewakili 3 NGO itu berkata laporan polis itu dibuat setelah melihat kenyataan yang dimuat naik di laman sosial oleh Satees yang didakwa sebagai kenyataan biadap.

“Kami mengharapkan pihak polis dan Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) menyiasat kesahihan kenyataan itu dan ambil tindakan sewajarnya kerana tindakan Satees itu sesuatu yang tidak boleh diterima,” katanya ketika ditemui pemberita selepas membuat laporan di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Dang Wangi di sini hari ini.

Pada Khamis (3 November) lepas Sultan Ibrahim bertitah di Majlis Himpunan Bangsa Johor menegur seorang bekas pemimpin negara yang terkenal di dunia kerana menyokong demonstrasi jalanan.

“Di negeri Johor, saya tidak akan benarkan mana-mana pihak menganjurkan demonstrasi jalanan kerana ia akan mengganggu ketenteraman awam dan memberikan imej yang tidak baik.



“Oleh itu, saya ingatkan kepada semua NGO di Johor dan semua bangsa Johor supaya jangan mengikut budaya yang sesat ini,” titah baginda.

Susulan titah baginda itu satu status dimuat naik dalam akaun Facebook dipercayai milik Satees pada hari yang sama, memberi komen mengenai larangan itu.

The boyfriend, who has not been identified, is said to have been devastated when his lover passed away five years ago.

But he perked up when he spotted a snake with a ''striking resemblance'' to the girl and believed she had come back to life as a serpent.

He now spends his life with the 10ft long cobra believing it is his dead lover - following the Buddhist idea that people can be reincarnated as animals.

Pictures sent in by a man called Worranan Sarasalin show the man sitting by a lake in Singapore with the serpent at his side.

Others show him watching TV with the cobra and gazing dreamily into his eyes over a dinner table.

KETUA POLIS NEGARA MILIKI RUMAH RM5.5 JUTA

PETALING JAYA: Ketua Polis Negara Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar enggan melayan dakwaan Datuk R Sri Sanjeevan yang beliau memiliki sebuah rumah banglo bernilai RM5.5 juta di Negeri Sembilan.

Sebaliknya, Khalid berkata perkara itu sudah dilaporkan pengerusi badan pemantau MyWatch itu kepada Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM).

“Saya serahkan kepada mereka,” kata Khalid dipetik akhbar TheSun.

Khalid menyifatkan Sanjeevan seorang yang terdesak disebabkan pelbagai tindakan polis ke atasnya.

Semalam, Sanjeevan dalam laporannya kepada SPRM mendakwa Khalid memiliki sebuah rumah mewah di Mantin, dan berkata beliau mempunyai dokumen membuktikan tuduhan itu.

Ogos lalu, Sanjeevan menyerahkan dokumen pendaftaran syarikat kepada SPRM bagi menyokong dakwaan sebuah syarikat senjata api dikaitkan dengan adik Khalid, Datuk Abdullah Abu Bakar.



Minggu lalu, polis Bukit Aman bertindak menyerbu kediaman Sanjeevan di Kajang, dan menyita beberapa kenderaan yang didaftarkan atas namanya.

Sitaan tersebut dibuat di bawah Akta Pencegahan Pengubahan Wang Haram (AMLA), Seksyen 45.

Sanjeevan ditahan pada 22 Jun kerana disyaki melakukan pemerasan dan ugutan jenayah.

Aktivis 32 tahun itu diberkas Bahagian Perjudian, Maksiat dan Kongsi Gelap (D7) sebaik sahaja didakwa menerima wang perlindungan RM25,000 daripada pengadu, seorang pengusaha judi haram berusia 38 tahun.

Guru Hilang lebih rm200'000 simpanan KWSP

BALING: A 57-year-old female school teacher in Kuala Ketil here lost RM212,210 of her hard earned Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) savings after being cheated in a scam.

Baling police chief Supt Shariffudin Yusof said the victim received a message via the short-messaging system (SMS) claiming to be from a bank, saying there was a transaction of RM4,388 in her credit card account on Nov 1.

“She was told to make a call to a number if she did not make the transaction. When she called the number, a man who introduced himself as David Lim told the victim she had RM8,236.80 in arrears on her Visa Gold credit card, and to call Bank Negara Malaysia at a given number,” he said in a statement here yesterday.

Shariffudin said subsequently the woman spoke to two individuals named Lim Khar Meng and Lim Chin Teong.

She then transferred RM29,995.09 into an unidentified account in two transactions at 5.20pm the same day and also wired in RM9,995.07 at 5.23pm, he said.

The woman deposited RM98,000 into an account under the name of Chong Hon Mun via 11 transactions using a cash deposit machine (CDM) of a bank on Nov 3.



The woman later went to a bank branch in Baling and found that a sum of RM74,220.53 had been moved from her account via online banking three times on Nov 2 and 3, he said.

Shariffudin said police would send an application for Financial Services Platform (FSP) to banks and telecommunication companies involved, apart from investigating all numbers contacted by the victim.

Kejadian misteri di laluan Kampung Sg Lakit

GUA MUSANG - Kejadian misteri di Jalan Kuala Krai-Gua Musang, bukanlah perkara baharu, malah ia sudah kalis menjadi bahan mulut pengguna jalan raya ini.

Terbaharu, pemilik akaun Facebook, Amin Hussin, menceritakan kejadian yang dialaminya di sekitar jam 10.30 malam di antara Kampung Sungai Lakit, sebelum tiba di Kesedar Paloh.

Ceritanya, sampai di lokasi berkenaan, kereta yang dipandu tiba-tiba gelap di bahagian tingkap belakang sehingga langsung tidak nampak bahagian belakang.



"Saya jadi bingung, berulang kali saya tekan brek untuk lihat bias cahaya tapi gagal. Cepat-cepat saya kejar kereta jenis Proton Exora di hadapan saya, tiba-tiba kereta saya terasa amat berat.

"Walaupun saya tekan minyak sekuat hati, kelajuan tetap perlahan. Allahuakbar, saya dan isteri rasa panik, bunyi cengkaman pada bumbung dan belakang bonet kereta sangat jelas. Hanya ALLAH sahaja yang tahu perasaan kami ketika itu.

"Pintu di bahagian penumpang macam ada sesuatu ingin merobek dan seperti ingin dibuka oleh sesuatu. Semakin kuat ayat suci Al-Quran dipasang, semakin banyak bunyi di sekeliling kereta saya," jelasnya.

Tambahnya lagi, setibanya di Paloh, keadaan kembali seperti biasa namun 'kesan' yang ditinggalkan itu cukup jelas kelihatan.

"Syukur Ya ALLAH, kerana selamatkan kami sekeluarga dari gangguan yang tidak diingini berlaku. Sampai di rumah, memang jelas ada kesan calar pada bumbung dan bonet belakang kereta.

"Nasib baik saya tidak lalai dan dapat meneruskan hingga selamat tiba ke destinasi. Kejadian ini kali kedua kami alami dan kejadian pertama lagi dahsyat. Untuk pengguna jalan ini, hati-hati memandu. Zikir ALLAH dan azan jika rasa mengantuk dan rasa luar biasa," katanya.
